#Honestly out of all the NewWho Doctors #I think Nine does ~comfort the best #which is hilarious because he’s so harsh #but he’s also the one that’s fresh from the Time War and understands how raw circumstances can be #So he’s the one who’s so willing to say ”look at me I’m stupid” #or ”streetcorner 2 in the morning getting a taxi home - I’ve never had a life like that” #it’s more effective because because unlike Ten and Eleven #Nine does self-deprecating comfort that translates so much better (and he does it so much more often too) #Because instead of just saying ”aww it’s okay you’re not stupid” #he says ”it’s okay i’m stupid too - being stupid sometimes isn’t bad. everyone is stupid sometimes. #but making stupid decisions also means you have the potential to make clever decisions. I believe that you can do this. You can fix it.” #and that to be honest is the most brilliant feeling in the world: #knowing that despite your ~shortcomings someone still believes in you and is willing to fight for you #Nine you are so wonderful and not enough people recognize that (via: winterinthetardis)
